Sofitel Sydney Darling Harbour Takes Ownership of the French Croissant

Information

As France takes centre stage as the home of the Olympics and showcases its magnificent architecture, culture and history, it is only fitting that Sofitel Sydney Darling Harbour announces the launch of La Haute Croissanterie in Australia.

La Haute Croissanterie – one of the most delicious French symbols of them all – a crisp, flaky croissant, taken to the next level.  An iconic French pastry treat, the butter croissant continues to delight anyone and everyone with a sweet or savory tooth – everywhere in the world. Haute Croissanterie is where the simple croissant becomes art through the culinary skills of the pastry team

Executive Pastry Chef Ian Burch and his team have reinvented the delicious French icon, launching on 19 September with four exciting flavours both sweet and savoury – Chocolate and Burnt Orange, Raspberry Pistachio, Harissa and Whipped Ricotta, and Smoked Salmon.

“Using the perfect butter percentage, the highest quality flour, the exact folding methods – all have been crafted to achieve excellence”, said Executive Pastry Chef Ian Burch. “From that perfect basic croissant we have then developed flavors using local ingredients and reflecting local tastes and cultures  to create our version of Haute Croissanterie”.

Initially, launched in Sofitel Dubai The Obelisk in the United Arab Emirates, Sofitel Ambassador Seoul Hotel in South Korea, and Sofitel Legend Casco Viejo in Panama, Chefs from across the globe came together to perfect the recipe of the Pur Beurre croissant promising the best croissants in town.

The La Haute Croissanterie range is available every day from 10am from the counter of Esprit Noir Lobby Bar, Sofitel Sydney Darling Harbour.
