Information
Sydney is set to make a bold environmental statement with a one-day-only art installation that will be the centrepiece of the Sydney Sustainability Markets on Saturday, 2 November.
Coined the Sustainabilitree, the installation is an eye-catching 4.5-metre-high, 10-metre-wide tree made entirely of secondhand clothing, aimed at sparking conversations about how small changes in our fashion habits can lead to big environmental benefits.
The Sustainabilitree is being created in celebration of global thrift retailer Savers® opening its first inner-city thrift store in Sydney.
Located on the iconic Oxford Street in Darlinghurst, this store builds upon the success of their thrift superstore format, filled with preloved fashion finds at great value.
Savers® is inviting the local community to celebrate this milestone and support the sustainable fashion movement at the Sydney Sustainability Markets, the only markets in Sydney dedicated exclusively to upcycled, repurposed, or reused materials.
