Opera in the Pub - Singing for your Supper

Opera . . . in a pub? You heard right! Opera Bites brings best-loved opera hits to the relaxed atmosphere of your local pub.

Opera Bites has partnered with The Harold in Glebe to bring you the world’s favourite opera highlights in the relaxed environs of a great local pub.

Tickets include a 90-minute, fully costumed show, upstairs at The Harold. Show starts 7.30pm. Fabulous food and drinks available for separate purchase at the venue. HAPPY HOUR from 5-7pm. All day kitchen open till 10pm for pre-, mid- or post-show dining.

Singing for your Supper - From milkmaids to magicians, princesses to pageboys, smugglers to servants, everyone in opera has a job – or at least they appear to (some characters only pretend to have a job or their ‘job’ is a front for some illegal activity – usually to get the girl). Come and join the fun as Opera Bites explores who has what job in opera and what that means for the plot and the music.
