Manly Writers Festival

Welcome to the second annual Manly Writers’ Festival from Friday, 28th March to Sunday, 30th March 2025. A wonderfully rich and diverse collection of more than 125 writers, academics, journalists, thinkers, and creators will appear across more than 50 events in our venues in Manly and in Brookvale.

As we think, read, talk and laugh together over three days, we hope the festival program helps you to celebrate the power and joy of what we write and read to connect people, spark curiosity and inspire change.

The latest in social media and AI, cooking, workplace issues, music, sport, mental health, grief, history, politics, foreign policy, true crime, biography and memoir as well as mystery, romance, historical, young adult and contemporary fiction, and debut authors, are all here in our packed three days.

- Friday evening: Manly Spirits Distillery, 9-13 Winbourne Road, Brookvale
- Saturday evening: Manly Surf Life Saving Club, cnr Ashburner Street & South Steyne, Manly
- Sunday: Manly Golf Club, 38-40 Balgowlah Road, Manly
