Loving, Photographing and Saving Birds

Information

Loving, Photographing and Saving birds.
A solo exhibition by Angela Robertson-Buchanan

This exhibition celebrates our bird life of Sydney's Inner-west.
A 10-year retrospective showcasing Angela's award-winning images as well as an insight into the tireless work wildlife carers do for our local birdlife. It's a call to action for appreciation, admiration & respect for all those feathered friends who live alongside us.

Angela has been a resident in the Inner-west for 20 years and has noticed changes to the local bird life, both positive & negative. Throughout the years, through her photographic art, Angela has explored themes such as habitat connections, baby bird growths, behaviour & relationships with our urban environment. Through her lens, Angela captures intricate details and unique personalities of her avian subjects by creating striking compositions which not only immortalizes the grace and splendour of birds but also inspires action to protect them.

Many Australian bird species are declining in urban areas and declining overall.
It's more important than ever to research, protect and provide education on the urban birds that surround us. It’s also evident that connecting with nature enhances our own health and wellbeing.

Every piece sold directly supports Angela’s wildlife rescue and care efforts, with a portion of proceeds also donated to wildlife organizations she passionately supports. For this exhibition, Angela will be donating 10% directly to her local wildlife rescue group; WIRES Inner-west branch.
