Enjoy a festival of Australian voices at The Rocks Australia Day
10 hours of FREE entertainment across six stages at The Rocks!
To celebrate Australia Day, The Rocks will rejoice in the power of song with a FREE music festival bringing together singers and songwriters from all corners of the country.
Sydney Harbour Foreshore Authority will present The Rocks Australia Day from 11am to 9pm with an epic celebration of Australian voices including performances of roots, soul, pop, cabaret, reggae, jazz, blues, rock, folk and Indigenous music. Don't miss free performances by renowned artists like Bertie Blackman, Dappled Cities, Ash Grunwald, Jeff Lang, Paul Capsis and Shellie Morris.
Australia Day at The Rocks offers something for everyone with heart-roaring songs by the harbourside, harmonies in intimate laneways and parks, Indigenous voices, sing-a-longs in squares, roaming vocalists throughout the streets, an intimate outdoor lounge area and even a kids' program.
The Rocks Australia Day will be one of the biggest events of the year, with more than 140,000 people expected to attend. Wander the cobblestone lanes and enjoy amazing performances across six stages throughout the historic streets of The Rocks.
Join the party at First Fleet Park's Parksong with a fun mix of soul, reggae, roots and electro-pop music. Rocksong will rock-on at the Overseas Passenger Terminal forecourt with live pop and rock performances. Relax by the water at Campbells Cove and enjoy the soothing tones of acoustic and folk tunes at Harboursong.
The kids will love Playsong at The Rocks Square where they can sing and dance along to a host of imaginative songs and music. Kick back and relax at the outdoor roadside stage on George Street - a café area with tables and chairs to enjoy some time-out and see theatrical performances of soul, jazz and cabaret.
The laneways and streets of The Rocks will be filled with spine-tingling harmonies and beautiful melodies with Singing in the Lanes featuring choirs, a capella groups and renowned vocal ensembles. Keep an eye out for the street artists and roaming performers in Nurses Walk, George Street and surrounding laneways.
The Rocks is also the perfect place to enjoy a drink or bite to eat at the many cafes, restaurants and pubs. It's easy to get to The Rocks by bus, ferry or train to Circular Quay.
